About Us

Colonial Farms Hunting Preserve offers exceptional Pheasant and Chukar hunting.  We have developed a diverse woodland and field area that can be reserved for individual hunts.  Our fields offer a wide selection of habitats that will provide an enjoyable experience for both the beginning hunter and dog, or the advanced hunter seeking a challenging hunt.  If desired, we can arrange for top quality, professional guide services and bird dogs.

We Offer:

• An 8 month long hunting season beginning the 1st Monday in September through the last Saturday in April:  6 days a week.  (Closed Sundays).
• Public hunting on private land for enhanced hunting.
• Professional gun dog training.
• Experienced, professional guides.
• 150 acres of diverse land managed for both the hunter and wildlife.

LIABILITY RELEASE:

• Hunters will be required to sign a document releasing Colonial Farms and Colonial Farms personnel from liability for accidents or injury.

PA STATE GAMES LAWS:

• Except for hunting license hunters and shooters are required to follow all PA game laws and federal firearm policies and other laws governing hunting and firearm safety in the County of Allegheny, Pennsylvania.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Safety glasses and ear plugs are recommended to be worn while hunting.  All hunters are required to provide their own blaze orange hat and vest/jacket of at least 250 sq. inches.  These should be worn at all times while hunting or within any hunting areas.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL:

• Anyone determined to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the hunting area.
